Dr. Ayesha Hakim has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Massey University, New Zealand. She joined the University of Auckland as Research Specialist and then joined the Waikato Institute of Technology (WINTEC) as a Lecturer in Computer Science. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at MNS-University of Agriculture, Multan. She is the academic lead and founder of 3 tech start-ups: SMARTRAPS that is an AI and IoT based device for flying insect pest surveillance; FoodTrace that is a blockchain and AI based food traceability system; and Smart Storage Chamber that is an AI and IoT based chamber to optimise shelf-life of perishable food items. She is president of Rotary International, IEEE counselor and focal person of NGIRI ignite, Huawei ICT academy, and digital education. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, blockchain, data science, precision agriculture, and shape, and audio analysis.
